Born in 1944. Yamaguchi became an active professional folder after he was appointed a secretary of Nippon Origami Association. In 1989, Yamaguchi founded Japan's first origami gallery "Origami House", where many young folders are grown, and he actively collaborates with foreign folders and origami groups.
His enthusiasm for origami has led him to become involved with origami associations around the world. JOAS (Japanese Origami Academic Society) Board of Driectors President; Board member of NOA (Nippon Origami Association); member of OrigamiUSA, member of British Origami Society and Chief Editor of "Origami Tanteidan" magazine.
